'CRACKS' DEPARTS FOR STADIUM:MK

Posted on: Fri 19 Jun 2009
By Ross Jeavons
David McCracken will be back at Adams Park next season wearing the colours of MK Dons, after the Chairboys captain agreed a two-year-deal with the Blues Buckinghamshire rivals.

The ex-Dundee United centre back joined the Wanderers in July 2007 and went on to make 80 appearances in the quarters, steering the Blues to a play-off semi final and of course automatic promotion.

'Cracks' moves to Stadium:MK for no fee, as the Glaswegian's contract is due to expire at the end of the month.

Happy Days: McCracken was the first Wycombe captain to win promotion for 15 years

The 27-year-old scored two goals in his time at the club, with his final strike coming on the last day of the season during the rollercoaster 2-1 defeat to Notts County.

McCracken won't have to wait long to come up against his old paymasters, as the Dons clash with the Wanderers on September 19th at Adams Park.

Chairboys boss Peter Taylor told wwfc.com: "He had an outstanding season last year and was an outstanding captain. It's a disappointment to lose him, but at the end of the day the player was a free agent and was within his rights to reject our teams and accept a deal elsewhere."

Stay tuned to wwfc.com for reaction from the man himself.
