Wanderers' Managing Director Steve Hayes believes the club's new partnership with Bucks New University is the perfect match, as both are moving in the right direction.

The pair has worked closely for a number of years and the affiliation was strengthened further this week when Bucks New University was announced as the club's main partner.

The deal will see the High Wycombe based Higher Education institution become only the second university ever to appear on the front of the first team shirts of a professional football team.

"If I could ask for anyone to be our main partner it would be them," said Hayes. "We already know them and they already know us, so it's a partnership.

"It's a partnership going forward, but there are a lot of things we need to work on to activate this to get the best for Bucks New University and the best for Wycombe Wanderers.

"Having said that, we are delighted that another local organisation of the calibre of Bucks New University has become our main partner."
