This team needs no introduction. A giant in English football who eight years ago were only 90 minutes away from taking part in the biggest club game in European football - The Champions League final.
Leeds United
Despite a trio of big clubs dropping down from The Championship into League One, the division will once again see Simon Grayson's Leeds United as the main scalp.
The favourites tag has haunted the Whites in the past two seasons, as the Yorkshire side have had to settle for the play-offs on both occasions.
Firstly, a 1-0 play-off final defeat to Doncaster in May 08 denied Leeds an immediate return to The Championship, before Millwall ended the dream at the semi-final stage last season, thanks to a 2-1 aggregate victory.
Jermaine Beckford has spearheaded the United attack since his 45k move from Wealdstone Town in March 2006. Beckford found the net 20 times in his first season before grabbing 34 goals last campaign. However, the striker's future at Elland Road is up in the air after the 25-year-old opted to hand in a transfer request instead of signing a new contract in late May.
As things stand no offers have made been for the club's prized asset according Chairman Ken Bates, with the former Chelsea man keen to stress the importance of strengthening the squad rather than losing key members for another assault on The Championship.
Grayson's task will be to once again mount a promotion challenge, but instead of a route through the play-offs, an automatic spot will be what the Elland Road faithful crave and expect. Third time lucky?
