Matt Harrold has spoken of his desire to once again claim the club's golden boot.

And despite netting the club's top goalscorer award in his first season with the Blues, the 24-year-old is eyeing more goals in League One next campaign.

"Each player wants to progress", Harrold exclusively told wwfc.com.  "I will consider my own personal goals over the coming month or so, but obviously the main one will be to beat 12 goals."

"It was an excellent season. I didn't have the best time at Southend and if someone would have said to me that we would have got promoted and I would have been club's top scorer, I would have grabbed it with both hands.

"I wanted more than 12 goals but I was delighted to be the top scorer."

The 24-year-old scored an array of pivotal goals for the Wanderers on their way to promotion to League One and the striker shared which ones he enjoyed the most.

He said: "Shrewsbury away was a good one, but the winner against Accrington was important in the scheme of things. However, my first goal for the club against Bournemouth at home was special as it got me off the mark."
