HARROLD'S PAR FOR THE COURSE

Blues hotshot Matt Harrold will be trying to perfect his hand at a different sport over the summer months.

Last season's top scorer contributed 12 goals to the Blues' promotion campaign, but now has the task of holing putts instead of finding the net to keep his own tag of 'best golfer at the club' between now and 1st July.

Harrold exclusively told wwfc.com: "I've been playing quite a lot of golf as I need to keep my tag of best golfer at the club. I've been golfing quite a bit this week and I'm determined to improve on my handicap of eight."

But when the 24-year-old isn't out basking in the sunshine on the golf course, he is keeping an eye on the Football League play-offs as well as his beloved Arsenal.

He said: "I was looking forward to the break as we had endured a long season but I'm missing it already. I've been watching all the football on the TV, which hasn't impressed the missus!

"Rest is important and everyone enjoys a break, but when July comes around I'll be raring to go as football is my bread and butter."

Coming up on wwfc.com: Steve Brown on the Wanderers' challenge next season and more from Matt Harrold on his goals for 2009/10.
