BLOOMS: "IT WOULD MEAN A LOT"

By Ben Campbell

Matt Bloomfield has told wwfc.com that going up on Saturday would be the biggest achievement of his Wycombe career.

The 25-year-old is the longest serving player in the Wanderers squad, having spent five years at Adams Park after his move from hometown club Ipswich Town in 2003.

'Blooms' has made a whole host of memories in his time with the Chairboys including the Carling Cup semi-final clashes with Chelsea in the 2006/07 campaign.

But the midfielder has revealed that receiving a League Two promotion medal would top everything he's achieved with the Blues.

Talking exclusively to wwfc.com, Bloomfield said: "Promotion would mean a lot. I think everyone knows it would mean a great deal to get promoted with this club. I've been here a little while and promotion would top it off.

"It's been a hard few years with near misses and injuries, so that would make it even more special.

"Going up would top the lot. I have some good memories already but this would beat everything. That's what I came here to do and hopefully we can achieve it at the weekend."

To buy tickets for the promotion decider on Saturday call the Adams Park ticket office on 01494 441118.
