CRACKS - "A TEAM EFFORT"

By Ben Campbell

Captain David McCracken hailed his team mates efforts last night, after the Blues moved a step closer to automatic promotion with victory over Luton.

The Blues overcame the Hatters 1-0 at Kenilworth Road on Tuesday, with 'Cracks' picking out the Wanderers' steel and togetherness as the reason for their victory in Bedfordshire.

He said: "We got the goal and dug in. They (Luton) put us under pressure in the second half but we held firm and the result was what we needed and the result is what we got.

"They were throwing everything forward and it was a team effort again.

"It's an absolutely massive win. We knew we had a game in hand and we've taken advantage."

McCracken has been one of the Wanderers' best performers this season and his strong displays have helped the Blues surpass the all-time record of clean sheets in a campaign as well as concede the lowest amount of goals in League Two.

But despite breaking records and playing some of the best football of his career, Cracks has set his sights on improving his game even further.

He said: "I feel my form has been OK. There are always things you want to improve on and I have the hunger to better myself."
