Matt Bloomfield feels the two games in hand the Wanderers have on the majority of their promotion rivals could prove to be pivotal in the club's quest for League One football.
The Blues have played 39 games so far; in comparison to the 41 fixtures the likes of Exeter, Bury, Rochdale, Gillingham and Shrewsbury have already endured.
And with Exeter the only side in the top 10 to win at the weekend, the clash at Darlington on Tuesday evening offers the Blues the opportunity to use one of their games in hand to move back into second place in League Two.

Bloomfield has returned to the Blues first XI in recent weeks, starting the last two games against Shrewsbury and Barnet, and after regaining his place the 24-year-old is determined to hang on to it for the final seven games of the season.
He said: "It's brilliant being back in the side but I know I need to work hard to maintain my place. I just want to play my part in achieving something and everyone knows what it would mean to me to get promoted with this club."
The Blues next test comes in the shape of Dave Penney's Darlington and despite their 10-point deduction for going into administration, the Wanderers no.10 knows the off the field problems won't affect the Quakers performance on the pitch as they look to sneak back into the play-off picture.
He said: "Every year we come up to Darlington, it's a tough game and we're expecting it to be no different this time around. They'll still be organised and they are a decent team."
