"WE DON'T EXPECT ANY EASY GAMES"

New signing Frank Sinclair believes each of the Blues' final eight games of the season will offer a test of character for the Wanderers players.

The former Chelsea man slotted in superbly at centre-back in the 1-1 draw with Shrewsbury Town on Saturday and the 37-year-old loved every minute of his Wanderers debut.

He said: "It was brilliant and it was nice to get out there. It was difficult, as I'd only trained a couple of days. I just adapted to the game and tried to give as much advice as possible."

Tuesday night's game with Barnet offers Peter Taylor's side the chance to move back into the top two but Sinclair is warning his team mates that the clash at Adams Park will be as difficult as the one with Shrewsbury at the weekend.

He said: "They are struggling but they are on the back of a couple of wins, so it will be another tough game.

"We don't expect any easy games because if you're not playing someone in the play-offs, you're playing someone fighting for their lives.

"You've got to earn the right to win games. There are a lot of points to play for with eight games to go and if we stay unbeaten and get the right results at home then I'm sure we'll go up.

"If we get four points from these two home games then we'll be happy with that."

Sinclair looked very assured alongside Will Antwi in the heart of the Wanderers defence and the loan signing from Lincoln City has revealed his hunger for the game is as strong as when he started his career 19 years ago.

He said: "My appetite is still there. I haven't won anything for a while and I've promised I would take my boy Tyrese to Wembley one day although I don't want it to be in the play-offs this season.

"I've said that I wouldn't hang my boots up until I play at the new Wembley because he's seen me play at the old one.

"I feel good even if I'm not as quick as I was when I was a youngster! I use my head a bit more now and I still really enjoy my football.

"I must concentrate on performing well, because if I'm playing well we're keeping clean sheets and more often than not we'll win games."
