CASEMENT ON INTERNATIONAL DUTY

Wanderers defender Chris Casement will miss Tuesday's night game with Barnet due to being on international duty with Northern Ireland U21s.

The 20-year-old has been chosen in the Northern Irish squad for their clash with Ukraine at Shamrock Park on the same night as the Blues host the Bees at Adams Park.

The Ipswich loanee replaced Lewis Hunt at right-back in the 1-1 draw with Shrewsbury Town on Saturday and Wanderers chief Peter Taylor revealed the decision was made due to Hunt not being able to handle two matches in such a short space of time following his return from a three-month spell on the sidelines with a broken metatarsal.

Taylor said: "No way could Lewis play two games in four days after looking at him on Monday following last Saturday's game with Rochdale. There was no possible way.

"Chris is unavailable as he is playing for Northern Ireland so that's why we jigged it around for Shrewsbury."

Fellow loanee Marek Stech missed Saturday's game with Shrewsbury after going on international duty with Czech Republic U21s. Aussie stopper Jamie Young replaced the West Ham 'keeper in goal for the Blues and once again gave Peter Taylor food for thought for the number one jersey after pulling off a number of good saves.
