'THEY'LL NEED A GOOD BREAKFAST!'

Saturday's crunch game against promotion rivals Shrewsbury Town at Adams Park will mean an early start and a change of routine for fans and players alike.

Sky Sports have chosen to televise the game live with a 12.15 k.o., almost three hours earlier than the rest of the League Two fixtures. Blues boss Peter Taylor told wwfc.com: 'It means a change of plan, but that could be a good thing.'

The Wanderers' players have to report to Adams Park 90 minutes before k.o. for home games and some of them face a two hour journey to Buckinghamshire. 'They'll be setting their alarms much earlier than usual' said Taylor 'but most of our players have experienced early kick-offs at some stage in their careers.

'Early starts are common in the Premier League and clubs at that level will put their players up in an hotel, but League Two budgets don't allow for such luxuries. However, I see the change of routine as a positive - we had a bad result in our last game and doing things differently could help us this week.'

For conventional 3pm k.o.'s, the players would have a pre-match meal around 12 noon with most of them choosing to eat chicken and pasta. 'I can't see many of the lads tucking into chicken at 9 o'clock in the morning' said Taylor 'but we'll be telling them to have a very good breakfast!'

And fans can start their own pre-match meals as of 10am on Saturday morning when all the bars open inside Adams Park.
