Lewis Hunt made a welcome return to the Blues starting line-up on Saturday afternoon after nearly three months out with a broken metatarsal.
The former Southend right-back played the full 90 minutes in the clash with Rochdale at Adams Park - his first appearance in a Wanderers shirt since picking up the injury in the 1-1 draw with Exeter City on Boxing Day.
Peter Taylor said: "It's good to have him back. With another weeks training I'm sure he will be even better and hopefully he will suffer no setbacks.
"Lewis did look a bit tired last quarter of an hour and I knew that would happen but we were hoping that the first 75 minutes could have been a bit better."
Striker John Akinde played his first game at Adams Park after joining on loan from Championship side Bristol City and Taylor revealed that the 19-year-old was withdrawn with 20 minutes left due to a lack of match fitness.
He said: "John Akinde's calves were getting tight and we thought about bringing him off at half-time but he wanted to keep going. It then got tighter after the break and we didn't wanted to make it worse."
