The Wanderers fell to a narrow defeat in the semi-final of the County Cup on Wednesday night, ending their hopes of becoming Berks & Bucks champions for the 27th time.
The home side got the only goal of the game in the first half, after a speculative 20-yard strike from Alex Cairns beat 18-year-old Blues 'keeper Tom McNeil.
The Chairboys put in a valiant display but were eventually outdone by their more experienced opponents, with the oldest Wycombe player on show 26-year-old Luke Oliver.
