Peter Taylor has revealed that the club's top scorer Matt Harrold was rested for Tuesday night's win over Chester City.
The Wanderers boss opted to start the game with a front two of Stuart Beavon and JP Pittman, allowing Harrold to take what he called a "deserved break".

Taylor said: "I don't class it as dropping him, since Matt Harrold has been here he has played every game, sometimes up there on his own, and I thought he was 'cream crackered' to be honest and I thought he deserved a little bit of a break.
"He wasn't very happy, by the way, because he wants to play every game and quite rightly so. I just felt I wanted to see something different, to see how JP and Beavon did together. At times they did well, at times they didn't, but he wasn't dropped him. I understand people will think it was, but for me it was a rest."
Fellow forward Chris Zebroski returned to the fold after his three-game suspension and Taylor was happy with the former Millwall man's header back across the box for JP's goal.
He said: "It was a typical Chris Zebroski performance, he was frustrating at times but made a great goal. It was a great header and he should do that more often.
"When I was at Stevenage he scored an unbelievable header against us so I think he's better in the air than what he's shown here but that was a tremendous header."
The Blues climbed back up into second after the 2-0 victory over the Seals and Taylor knows how important the win could be as the Wanderers enter the final 13 games of the season.
He said: "We needed a win that's a cert. It wasn't an easy game and the conditions were difficult for both teams and I think Chester they played well in the first half.
"I didn't like us at all in the first half, the situation seemed a bit too tough for us, too tense for us. I tried to say to them at half-time please go and play like the way you train which is with a lot of confidence.
"We got a goal, I'm not so sure that we deserved it at the time but it helped our confidence and killed there's a bit.
"Overall I'm delighted that we got two goals, delighted with the three points, but I'm not delighted with the performance and hopefully we will learn from it."
Jamie Young was once again called upon to make a couple of stops to deny Kevin Ellison and Taylor was delighted with the latest performance from the Aussie 'keeper.
He said: "A couple of saves Youngy made were first class. Overall this season there hasn't been many times we've had to say the keepers have saved us so I think it's good when they do every now and then."
