Stefan Oakes' stunning 25-yard free-kick handed the Blues a 1-0 win at Christie Park last season and Peter Taylor will be hoping one of his current crop can do the same this Saturday when the Wanderers travel to the north west.
The left-footed strike came in the middle of a purple patch for the former Leicester man, where alongside playing some of his best football for the Blues he notched up some important goals, most notably away at Morecambe and the opener in the 2-2 draw at home to Peterborough.
Oakes' winner at Christie Park Paul Lambert was the man in charge when the Blues triumphed last March and the new Wanderers chief will aim to do the same thing at the weekend as his side try and keep the heat on current leaders Brentford.
The two sides have already met this season on the opening day at Adams Park and another left-foot, this time belonging to Lewwis Spence, got the Blues off to a flyer that day but the Blues were pegged back in the second half and the game ended with a point apiece.
A victory in the reverse fixture this Saturday would extend the club's unbeaten record to four games against Morecambe and with a collection of the Blues' promotion rivals once again facing off against each other it could be a great weekend for Taylor and his side.
