MCCALL: 'HOW DID IT END UP 1-0?'

After seeing his Bradford City side overcome a Wanderers outfit who lay second on goal difference before Saturday's game, Stuart McCall admitted he was slightly surprised that the scoreline managed to remain so low.
A solitary strike from Bradford forward Steve Jones was enough to get Bradford the win they needed to maintain their promotion push.
After the game McCall said: "I don't know how it only ended up 1-0 because both teams had a lot of chances but I'm delighted it did. We're on a run we'd like to be in and that was a big result for us."
The Bradford boss was also full of praise for his on-loan Rangers midfielder Dean Furman as his side narrowed the gap on the automatic promotion places to just three points. Despite the former Gers boss admitting that Wycombe's midfield paring of Tommy Doherty and Gary Holt played well against his young side, he felt that his young midfield duo of South-African Furman and 21-year-old Nicky Law eventually came out on top.
"We were up against two good midfielders in Doherty and Holt but I thought the legs and energy of Law and Furman just about got on top of them."
A key turning point in the game was Chris Zebroksi's sending off on 78 minutes, as the former Millwall frontman was shown a straight red card for violent conduct as a wild, high boot connected with Bradford defender Matthew Clarke.
Clarke said: "I could see him lifting his boot as I went to head the ball. I was about 70-30 towards it so knew I'd get there a little bit before him. These days you can't go in with your foot so high. Maybe it's a bit harsh to get a red card but if you're going to do that, you will pay the penalty."
Clarke went down right in front of the Wanderers bench and Taylor couldn't argue with referee Carl Boyeson's actions.
The Wycombe chief said: "What Chris did was stupid. If he was a bit smaller, I'd beat him up!"
For Wycombe, the loss is still only their fourth all season and more importantly only their third away from home.
Peter Taylor's men travel to a Dagenham and Redbridge side that lie in eighth spot in the table on Tuesday night.
