ZEB OUT FOR THREE GAMES

Posted on: Mon 16 Feb 2009
By Ben Campbell

Wanderers forward Chris Zebroski will miss the Blues next three games after being sent off in the 1-0 defeat at Bradford on Saturday.

'Zeb' will be unavailable for selection against Dagenham & Redbridge on Tuesday evening, Rotherham on Monday 23rd February and Morecambe away on Saturday 28th Feb.

The work rate and pace of the former Millwall man will be missed by Peter Taylor and the Blues squad; however, the Wanderers chief had no complaints with the red card.

He told wwfc.com: "The sending off was definitely a sending off. It's not as though Chris tried to hurt anybody but it was just too high and it was a very poor decision by Chris."

The excellent performance of debutant Jon-Paul Pittman at Valley Parade will have also gone someway to soften the blow as the Blues prepare for their midweek fixture at Dagenham & Redbridge, and Taylor has Magno Silva Vieira, Matt Phillips and Nathan Ashton who can fill in for the suspended Zebroski.
