As the Blues embark on their toughest month of the season so far, manager Peter Taylor says: 'I honestly believe that we'll win promotion - and hopefully in style.'
The rallying call from the Blues boss comes ahead of a daunting fixture list that includes trips to Bradford, Dagenham & Redbridge, Morecambe, Lincoln and new leaders Brentford.
Despite a slump in form that has seen Wanderers knocked off the top of League Two for the first time in four months, Taylor says he's 'confident that the team will come good again soon.'
He told fans at last night's shareholders' meeting at Adams Park: ' I'm very pleased with how the season has gone up to now. I know that we haven't played that well recently and that has affected the players' confidence, but I think it's also an indication of the high standards the players set themselves earlier in the season.'
And Taylor revealed that he's in the market for a new striker as the promotion push reaches a critical stage. 'I know that we need more goals in the squad and we've taken steps to put that right. I'm very excited about the arrival of Jon Paul Pittman, who's got a good chance of being in the team against Bradford on Saturday. I think he could make the ideal partner for Matty Harrold and that's one of the reasons I've let Scott McGleish go (on loan) to Leyton Orient.
'But I'm also interested in another front player who I think could do a job for us. He's only 24 years old and has an excellent scoring record. I think we can get him and - as usual - Steve Hayes has been very supportive. We're trying to make the deal happen.'
