'ZEB' BACKED BY TAYLOR

Chris Zebroski returned to the Wanderers' starting line-up last weekend against Grimsby and was rewarded for his performance with the Man of the Match award, but despite making an instant impact Peter Taylor is confident there is more to come from the striker when he hits full fitness.

'Zeb' missed a total of six games through a foot injury he picked up in the FA Cup game at Eastwood Town in November and the goals dried up slightly in his absence.

But Taylor is hoping his 20k summer recruit from Millwall can hit the goal trail again and add to his current tally of six.

Taylor told wwfc.com: "Just before he got injured he was in top form, scoring goals and helping the team in his usual manner."

And although strike partner Matt Harrold has taken on the goalscoring duties, with him now having notched 10 times for the season, Taylor admits that the work rate of Zebroski has been missed.

He said: "Chris is one of those players that people don't realise what he does for the team but I know what he does and so do his team mates.

"I admit he is frustrating at times when he doesn't see a certain pass but they are small things.

"Overall he thoroughly deserves his place and I'm delighted to have him back. Granted it will take a couple of weeks before he is right again but I've got no doubt he'll be terrific again for us."

And Zeb will be hoping to keep his place for the Blues' game at AFC Bournemouth on Saturday and make it a personal double over Eddie Howe's side after he scored in the 3-1 win over the Cherries at Adams Park in October.
