It's a New Year and a new start for the kids that the Wanderers first team visited at Wycombe General Hospital on Tuesday afternoon.

Assistant manager Junior Lewis, captain David McCracken, top scorer Matt Harrold and the rest of the Wycombe squad attended the Children's Outpatients Ward bearing New Year gifts for all the kids.

The children, who are all on the road to recovery, were bouncing off the walls when the Wanderers players turned up and the kids were given presents, personalised autographed photo cards from all the players as well as having the opportunity to pose for a picture with a club photographer.

The guys spent around an hour chatting and playing games with all on the ward and David McCracken thinks it's important the club help local youngsters.

Cracks told wwfc.com: "It's nice to try and bring a smile to the kids faces during what could be a difficult time for them.

"They all seemed really happy to see us which is great and we're all looking forward to helping others in the same way throughout the year and the future."
