CHURCH BACK IN TRAINING

The exclusives keep on coming on wwfc.com, with the news that on-loan striker Simon Church has returned to training.

Church, 19, broke a bone in his hand while training with his parent club Reading last month after the Championship club made him unavailable for the Blues' FA Cup 1st round clash with AFC Wimbledon.

Wanderers boss Peter Taylor said: "Simon has started to train again this week but Saturday's game with Luton will come a bit too soon for him.

"He'll have much more of a chance to play away at Shrewsbury a week on Saturday."

The Wales U21 international is currently in his second loan spell with the Blues after initially joining the club on 26th August.

But after returning to Reading for a couple of weeks after he received a red card in the 2-1 win over Dagenham in September the young forward returned for a further two months on 20th October.

Church has impressed during his time with the Blues, but bad luck, in both the sending off and his broken hand, has blighted a run in the team.

And when he returns to full fitness he will be hoping to grab his first goal in a Wanderers shirt.
