Blues boss Peter Taylor has lavished praise on his side's work ethic, after the Wanderers battled to a vital 1-0 victory over Bradford City on Saturday.

A solitary Lewis Hunt strike was enough to send the Chairboys four points clear inside the automatic promotion places, and Taylor was delighted with the way his side dealt with a dangerous Bantams attack.

"Bradford were a strong side, their two strikers Conlon and Thorne are two very dangerous players," he said.

"Omar Daley is one of the quickest footballers you'll see, but we dealt with them all well. It wasn't just about Lewis Hunt defending solidly on the right, Chris Zebroski was always back helping out, we defended as a unit and that's what pleased me the most."

The win means that Wycombe remain as the only unbeaten league side in the country, something which has impressed even the club manager.

"I never dreamt we'd go fifteen matches unbeaten, but the boys deserve it. They've all worked really hard," said Taylor.

"I don't think about records and things like that, it's a cliché but we just have to take each match as it comes."

Success often breeds speculation, as proved by a national newspaper linking the ex-England boss with a vacancy at Watford over the weekend.

However Taylor was quick to confirm his place at Adams Park.

"That's paper talk, and it is nice to see because it means we're doing well and I'm happy with what we're doing here," he said.

"If we were bottom of the league then I wouldn't be linked with anyone, so lets hope I start getting linked with Real Madrid and Barcalona, because that'll mean we're doing even better! In all seriousness though I'm happy where I am."
