MCGLEISH JOINS COBBLERS

Wanderers' striker Scott McGleish has joined Northampton Town on an initial one-month loan deal, wwfc.com can reveal.

The League One side have snapped up the 34-year-old until Tuesday 25th November after the Blues made the forward available for transfer on Monday afternoon.

McGleish was the club's top scorer last season, notching up 26 league goals with four of those coming in the emphatic 4-0 win over Mansfield in January.

However, after a number of meetings with manager Peter Taylor and the striker not being able to hold down a first team place, the former Barnet and Colchester man has left the club, rejoining the side that Paul Lambert signed him from in January 2007.
