TEAMWORK THE KEY - CHRIS

Chris Zebroski played down his role as the match-winner in Saturday's 1-0 victory at Accrington Stanley and claimed that it was the hard work put in by the whole team which earned the three points.

With the game seemingly heading for a 0-0 draw at the Fraser Eagle Stadium, the club's top goalscorer latched on to a long punt forward by Scott Shearer to slot the ball home, but he was quick to praise the efforts of his team-mates in clinching a thirteenth game unbeaten since the start of the season:

"Hopefully if we can beat Macclesfield on Tuesday night we can kick on from there."

"It was a hard place to come and the lads worked really well for each other," he told wwfc.com. "You could say we deserved the win in the end because their keeper pulled off a few good saves and I think it was a great result for us.

"It was important to get that win because we'd drawn three games in a row and hopefully if we can beat Macclesfield on Tuesday night we can kick on from there. There's a good spirit in the camp and everyone's working for each other, and I think we'll look back at this game in May and see it as a really good three points."

Zebroski, who celebrates his 22nd birthday on Wednesday, managed to escape the home side's offside trap to break the resistance of home keeper Kenny Arthur and paid tribute to the man at the other end of the pitch for an unlikely assist:

"When their keeper made those two or three saves you think it's not going to be your day but it was a great kick from Shears, I just gambled on it and it paid off. I wasn't really aware if it was offside or not and I thought Magno (Silva Vieira) was going to try and steal my goal before it crossed the line but I'm just happy we won the game."
