Wanderers' right back Lewis Hunt has revealed that the Blues are hoping to get back to winning ways when they travel to Accrington Stanley on Saturday.

wwfc.com caught up with the former Southend man after he completed his first full 90 minutes in a Wanderers shirt in the 1-1 draw with Barnet on Tuesday evening at Underhill.

He said: "I've been out a long time but while I've been out I've been working hard, working hard with the physio's. I feel good, it was hard at times but I've worked hard in training and it paid dividends, as I was able to complete the ninety minutes.

"There's been no reaction from my groin, I've done lots of work with the physio's and I want to say a special thanks to Shay Connolly and Damien Doyle, it's been hard at times for them - as it has for me but getting out there and playing was as much for them as it was for me.

"Draws are only good results if you follow them up with wins and if we win on Saturday, suddenly those three draws become good draws."

Lewis and his Wanderers team mates were defending against the famous slope in the first half at Underhill and although the Blues fell behind to Nick Deverdics' goal the 24-year-old never doubted that the team were always in with a shout of at least a share of the spoils.

He said: "Barnet are a strong team when they're going downhill, so we always new it was going to be backs to the wall in the first half and it was just a case of making sure we were still in the game when the half time whistle blew.

"At 1-0 we still were and I thought we were unfortunate to not win the game, but a point here is a good point. I've played here a couple of times, and it's always the same - the team going downhill have dominated and so it proved."

Hunt played with three different midfielders in the game at Barnet, he started alongside John Mousinho but in the second half he worked with Matt Phillips, after he replaced Mousinho, and goalscorer Chris Zebroski with Lewis claiming it's essential you work hard with whoever you're playing behind.

He said: "It's important when you're playing right back and it's important to play with your right midfielder, I help them out sometimes and they also help me so that's what it's all about - there's 11 players out there and you've all got to work together, that's what we've done."
