Gary Karsa has followed Peter Taylor's former Assistant Manager Ian Culverhouse to League One side Colchester United.
Karsa held the role of Head of Youth since joining the Wanderers in September 2006 and during his two-year stint with the club he played an integral role in helping develop the clubs Youth Department into one of the best in the lower divisions.
His first job in coaching came in 1998 when he was appointed Football and Community Officer at Enfield, before moving into a similar role at Barnet, where he worked with Ian Culverhouse.
After a spell with Charlton Athletic as the Head of Academy Recruitment, Karsa and Culverhouse were re-united at Leyton Orient, with Gary taking the post of Head of Youth. And after Ian joined the Blues in July 2005 as Youth Team Coach, Gary followed his pal to Adams Park fourteen months later.
