Peter Taylor has exclusively revealed to wwfc.com that he is hoping to re-sign Simon Church on loan after Wales' U21 play-off with England.

The 19-year-old impressed during his initial one month loan spell with the Wanderers earlier this season and the Blues boss is hopeful that the striker will once again join up with the League Two club after Wales' second leg of their U21 play-off with England.

Taylor said: "I was there for the first leg and I thought he was outstanding. We're still going to try and bring him back here, without a doubt, and hopefully we'll be able to sort something out after the next Under-21 game on Wednesday."

If the Reading striker does rejoin the Chairboys he will be in good company according to the Wanderers boss, after Taylor once again watched his current crop of strikers put in another good performance in the 1-1 draw with Grimsby on Saturday.

He said: "I thought our attackers were unlucky not to score. Chris Zebroski's work rate was incredible - one minute he was making an excellent slide tackle in the right-back position and the next minute he's popping up in their six-yard box trying to score a goal.

"Maybe he should have scored from the header in the first half and there were a couple of other chances that I felt we could have scored but overall I thought we looked dangerous."
