Peter Taylor's Wanderers side have set a new club record for the longest run without conceding a goal since entering the Football League, wwfc.com can confirm.
It's been 474 minutes of football - just six short of the eight-hour mark - since David Artell netted the equaliser for Morecambe in the 1-1 draw at Adams Park on the opening day of the season, and the Blues have since kept five consecutive clean sheets in League Two, culminating in the 0-0 draw with Brentford on Saturday.
Chester, Lincoln, Chesterfield and Rochdale have also tried and failed to break down the Wycombe backline of goalkeeper Scott Shearer and defenders Craig Woodman, Mike Williamson, Leon Johnson and David McCracken, and this weekend's clean sheet breaks the record set by Martin O'Neill's team of the 1994/95.
The Blues actually began that campaign with four consecutive shut-outs against Cambridge, Huddersfield, Bristol Rovers and Birmingham before Paul Jewell found a way through in the 2-1 defeat at Bradford City, while Paul Lambert's men of the 2006/07 era also racked up four straight clean sheets towards the start of the season.
A back three of Sam Stockley, Mike Williamson and Will Antwi, along with goalkeepers Ricardo Batista and Jamie Young, helped the Blues prevent Bury, Macclesfield, Mansfield and Chester from finding the net in that run which was broken by Andy Williams' strike for Hereford United in a 2-1 win at Edgar Street.
Wycombe kept a record-equalling 19 clean sheets last season which means that they have not conceded in 24 of their last 50 league matches, while they also had the tightest home defence in the division last year, shipping just 15 times at Adams Park.
Wanderers will need to be at their best once again next weekend as Dagenham and Redbridge arrive at Adams Park wth 16 goals to their name already this season, including a 6-0 thumping on Chester on the opening day of the campaign.
