BLUES TO FACE SHREWS

Wanderers will face a home tie with Shrewsbury Town in the second round of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy after the draw was made live on Soccer AM this morning, wwfc.com can reveal.
Peter Taylor's side were handed a bye for the first stage of the competition and will now entertain Paul Simpson's men for the second round clash in the week commencing Monday 6th October.
The game could see Scott Shearer play against his former team-mates having spent a successful loan spell with the Shropshire club in the 2006/07 season, while former Wycombe loanee Richard Walker could return to Adams Park after joining Shrewsbury in the summer.
