Peter Taylor has revealed to wwfc.com that Blues duo Nathan Ashton and Lewwis Spence could make the squad for the game with Rochdale at the weekend.
Spence missed the win at Chesterfield with a calf injury while Nathan Ashton, who was due to be involved at Chesterfield, pulled up in the warm-up at Saltergate, meaning Robbie Rice took the final spot in the 16-man squad.
The Blues boss said: "Lewwis Spence has got a good chance of getting in the 16 as has Nathan Ashton. I don't think anyone knew that Nathan got injured in the warm-up last week, but we're hopeful he'll be fit for selection on Saturday."
Meanwhile Lewis Hunt and Matty Phillips, who Taylor had hoped to be fit for the clash with Dale, haven't recovered in time and will miss the game at Spotland.
Taylor has also revealed that Lewis Hunt may be out for longer than first thought. He said: "I think he's going to be out for about a month, he's going to have something done that will cure the problem but that means it's more likely to be a month."
