Former Wanderers striker Leon Knight has signed for Blue Square Premier side Rushden and Diamonds, wwfc.com can reveal.
The 25-year-old left the Blues by mutual consent in midweek after spending seven months at Adams Park and has wasted no time in finding the 10th club of his career so far.
Meanwhile, John Sutton marked his Motherwell debut with a goal in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Dundee United in the SPL after being allowed to leave the Wanderers, returning to the division where he scored thirteen times with St Mirren two years ago.
Ex-Wycombe pair Russell Martin and Sergio Torres both started for Peterborough United in their 1-0 defeat at Scunthorpe United while Sam Stockley was sent off for Port Vale as they were held to a 1-1 draw at Dagenham and Redbridge.
Blues manager Peter Taylor acted quickly to replace the departing Knight and Sutton by signing Reading striker Simon Church on a one-month loan deal at the weekend - click here for the full story.
