Scott McGleish told wwfc.com that he was delighted after notching up 200th career goal in the 2-0 win at Chester City and said the matchball would take pride of place alongside the trophies his won at last year's end of season awards.
The 34-year-old clinched Peter Taylor's first win in charge of the Blues from the penalty spot with just over 25 minutes left and he could hardly wait to break the news to his family at home.
He said: "I spoke to the wife and kids straight after the game and told them the good news and I also managed to get the matchball at the end of the game as well.
"I'll pay for it if they want but it's just something personal and it means a lot. It will go in a glass case where my dad's put my other matchballs from 50 goals, 100, 150 and now 200.
"It wasn't the best penalty I've ever hit but it counted and that's the main thing. Chris Zebroski asked if he could take the penalty but I didn't need to say anything, no-one was taking it away from me."
Chester must be a good omen for the striker after he scored his 199th career goal against the same opposition at Adams Park in April, and now he has followed that with his 200th today at the Deva Stadium.
Despite reaching the milestone McGleish knows it won't be easy to break last season's tally of 26.
Scott said: "It'll be a tough ask but I always try to beat the previous season's total. I know I will score goals if I play the right way and I probably should have got a second with the header that hit the crossbar.
"It's nice to get it out of the way early so now I can concentrate on just scoring as many goals as I can."
