Wanderers manager Peter Taylor has played down rumours that two of his first-team stars are on their way out of the club after reports suggested that Sergio Torres and Scott McGleish had been subjects of bids from another club.
Striker McGleish enjoyed a fantastic 2007/08 campaign, scoring 26 times in 46 league appearances, while playmaker Torres was a consistently strong performer in the midfield throughout the course of the season.
But despite reports on the Internet and a number of worried phone calls to the club regarding the futures of the duo, Taylor told wwfc.com that there is no substance to the speculation:
"I've heard the rumours too but unless the phone rings and a bid comes in, I'm not going to worry about it," he said.
Torres is currently recovering from an ankle operation and has not participated in pre-season training so far.
