In any pre-season at any football club there is change, and that's no different for Ian Culverhouse as he adapts to his new role under Peter Taylor's regime.
In an exclusive interview with
wwfc.com, 'Cully' said: "I'm looking forward to working in the new look team, I can't wait to get started and there are exciting times ahead at this football club.
"The new gaffer is very hands on as that's his main area of work. You can tell he (Peter Taylor) has the plans in place."
The 47-year-old witnessed a hectic summer of transfer activity last year when the old regime brought in 11 new faces ahead of the new season, and Cully has paid tribute to the five new players that Taylor has already brought in this pre-season.
He said: "They are all exciting new signings with a lot of pace and potential. We didn't score enough goals last season and that's why we've brought in some more attacking players.
"There are no new signings on the horizon as yet but there could be one or two more coming in. We will have to wait and see."
The ex-Norwich man has taken more of a back seat in the opening few days of training with the new Head of Medical Sport Science, Damien Doyle, and first team coach, Junior Lewis, putting the Blues through their paces in a series of gruelling fitness sessions.
Following the fitness sessions 'Cully', the gaffer and Junior then have been taking the players for more football based drills and the assistant manager is full of praise for the new training schedule.
He said: "I've enjoyed our first few sessions, they are good fun and are something new."
