MAIDENHEAD UP NEXT

Posted on: Wed 16 Jul 2008

By Ben Campbell

Maidenhead are up next on Wednesday evening as the Blues get ready to play their second game of their seven match pre-season.

Peter Taylor's side started their pre-season with a 3-0 win over Flackwell Heath on Friday night at Wilks Park and the new look squad will be hoping to continue impressing the Blues faithful as well as Peter Taylor when they come up against Maidenhead tomorrow evening.

The gaffer said: "To be fair to Flackwell it was quite competitive and there wasn't any silly tackles going in. It was a good workout and I was delighted that 22 players got 45 minutes each and there were no injuries.

"Everyone's attitude was spot-on. Everybody is working so hard and if they carry on the quality from training it's going to be incredibly hard to pick the team for the first game of the season. They are all fighting hard for a place against Morecambe."
