wwfc.com can exclusively reveal that Wanderers boss Peter Taylor will sign Gavin Grant on July 1st following his release from League One club Millwall.

The 24-year-old will complete a medical before joining the Blues on a two-year deal early next month.

Wanderers boss Peter Taylor said: "He's got bags of potential and he's a good finisher. He's got an eye for goal, he's quick, he's an athlete and he will get better.

"He did well at Stevenage. His scoring record speaks for itself and he gets in the positions to score goals."

The striker began his career with non-league side Tooting and Mitcham before being snapped up by Gillingham in December of 2005. He spent six months with the Priestfield outfit before Millwall spotted Grant's potential and brought the striker to the Den in the summer of 2006.

Grant enjoyed two succesfull loan spells at Grays Athletic where he bagged five goals before joining up with Taylor at Stevenage Borough.

Grant then exploded onto the scene at Broadhall Way last season when he scored an impressive seven goals in 12 starts for the Blue Square Premier side.

Taylor moved quickly to re-unite himself with the pacy striker after finding out he was available and he has agreed to sign the 24-year-old when his contract expires at Millwall on July 1st.
