ADAMS PARK PITCH RELAYED

Posted on: Wed 28 May 2008

By Ben Campbell

Wycombe Wanderers are firmly underway with the relaying of the Adams Park pitch in time for the start of the Blues' 2008/09 campaign.

The contractors have moved in and as part of the usual routine pre-season maintenance at the club the top layer of the natural surface is being removed as we speak, leaving the Desso surface firmly anchored into the pitch.

When all of the natural surface is removed the root zone soil will be laid, the seeds will then be scattered across the playing surface, before the pitch is then left to take it's natural course and be in the best possible condition ahead of Wanderers' opening home League Two fixture in August.
