On Saturday 19th April Karen Adams, granddaughter of Frank Adams, will inaugurate a memorabilia cabinet devoted to the life and times Frank Adams spent with Wycombe Wanderers.
The idea for the cabinet came from Press Officer Alan Hutchinson who knew both Frank and his son Jack well and wanted a permanent home for many of the items given to him by the Adams family.
Local furniture makers Hands of Wycombe have sponsored the media department for the past ten years and agreed to provide the cabinet. The cabinet has been donated to the club by Hands and they will be present at the inauguration. The ceremony will take place in the main entrance prior to the kick off against Chester City that afternoon.
The significance of the date is very important as it will be exactly 61 years to the date that Frank handed over the deeds of Loakes Park to the club in 1947.
Commenting on the occasion Alan Hutchinson said, "I felt it was important that other people should be able to see these items and be made aware of how important Frank Adams and his family association with the club was. Without his generosity in 1947 the Wycombe Wanderers would not be in the position they are today".
