PALMER RETURNS TO THE BLUES
By Dale Hurman
Blues' defender Chris Palmer has returned from his loan spell with Darlington.
Palmer, 23, joined the Quakers on a long-term long back in August 2007 but the left-sided midfielder has returned to Adams Park after failing to settle in the north east.
Palmer made four appearances for Dave Penney's side and under the terms of a long-term long deal the loan period cannot be cut short. Therefore the midfielder can only play for the Quakers until the deal expires on 6th January 2008.
This means that Palmer is ineligible to play for Wycombe Wanderers, be it the first team or reserves, or any other club except Darlington. Darlington will continue to pay his salary, in full, until the new year.
Palmer, who has made 32 appearances for the Blues since joining in the summer of 2006, will continue to train with the squad to maintain his fitness in anticipation of the new year when he will be available again for selection by Paul Lambert.
