Following further speculation in the press over the weekend, Wanderers' managing director Steve Hayes has reassured Blues fans that last season's leading scorer Jermaine Easter is still very much a Wycombe player.

Easter's name has constantly been linked with other clubs since he scored goals against Premiership opposition Fulham, Charlton and Chelsea in last season's Carling Cup run. The player himself has stated several times that he is happy and settled at Adams Park.

However, several national newspapers claimed that Wanderers have received bids for Easter from Swindon Town and M.K.Dons and that he is due to move before the transfer window closes at the end of the month.

Steve Hayes told wwfc.com: "We have not had a single offer for Jermaine. It's true that a number of clubs have phoned me about him, but that's as far as it's gone. We would have to listen if a genuine offer came in because every player has his price, but we certainly don't want to lose him as he's a vital part of our promotion plans for the season."

Easter was suspended for the season's opening game against Accrington Stanley and he will also miss Tuesday night's Carling Cup tie at Plymouth Argyle. He will be available for selection for the trip to newly promoted Dagenham and Redbridge on Saturday.
