We've all seen it before, but with F.A Cup tickets selling fast and Wycombe's first round tie with AFC Wimbledon just days away, there is no better time to starting whipping up the nostalgia for the oldest club competition in the footballing world.

Division One leaders Middlesborough arrived at Loakes Park to face Isthmian League side Wycombe on January 7th 1975, and were held to a 0-0 draw in front of 12,000 supporters, prompting the Boro boss to comment: "You were great. We have not been put on the rack like that for months. This must count as one of my worst days as a manager. The slope was frightening for my lads but that's no excuse. No team in the world could have scored against them today."

Brian Lee's Blues side lost the replay to a last-minute strike but the 30,000 supporters inside Ayresome Park were all united in chanting "Wycombe, Wycombe" as the teams left the field.
