MORE SUCCESS ON THE ROAD?

Wanderers will be looking to build on a fascinating trend that has baffled football pundits all over the country when they travel to Edgeley Park this Saturday by proving that home advantage counts for very little for League Two clubs.
Until the first weekend in April, there had been more away wins than home victories across the division, and although the home teams got their act together in the final weeks to contribute to a total of 216 wins on their own territory, the margin was minimal with visiting clubs notching up 208 successes on the road.
In fact Stockport County were one of ten clubs in League Two to win more games away than at at home, and embarked on a Football League record of eight successive away wins before that run came to an abrupt end at the hands of the Wanderers at Adams Park in March.
What's more, the Blues have actually conceded fewer goals on their travels than County have at Edgeley Park, which is incredible when you consider the Hatters' 6-0 win over Paul Lambert's men in December, and the Wanderers have notched up their joint highest tally of away wins this season since entering the Football League.
So despite County's fans celebrating as though they felt a trip to Wembley was wrapped up when Stephen Gleeson equalised late on Sunday evening, they may actually be rueing the fact that they didn't make a bigger effort to win at Adams Park given their comparatively inferior home record - let's home Paul and his men can make them pay for it.
