Wanderers have been awarded with the Football League Family Excellence Award for 2008/09.

The Blues are one of 41 clubs the Football League have recognised as offering a truly outstanding experience for young fans and families at Adams Park.

The Award is based on an independent assessment of the family experience at all 172 League clubs, commissioned by the Football League, during the 2009/09 season using 'mystery shopper' families.

Community Scheme Manager Dave Evans said: "It's the second year in a row that we have been awarded this and the staff deserve a big pat on the back for all the hard work they have put in throughout the year.

"The amount of children coming to Adams Park has significantly risen in the past few years and in offering activities both pre-match and at half-time we help to create a safe, fun, family environment."

And Wanderers could have even more to cheer about on Sunday evening at the Football League Awards if they are successful in any of the six categories they are nominated in.
