NEW FANS IN TANZANIA!
Wycombe Wanderers have a new set of fans in Tanzania after the club's Community scheme sent over a selection of training kit to the country situated over 4,500 miles away.
Mvumi School received a whole host of the Blues' 2005/06 training kit and the kids liked it so much they played in their new Wanderers shirts instead of their usual kit for their latest county football match.
This is the third country that has benefited from the club's generosity in this way and there are plans in place to continue to distribute Wycombe training kit all over the world in coming years.
And when schools from the local area travel to such countries as Tanzania, Wycombe Wanderers' Community scheme is their first port of call as schools can rely on Dave Evans and his team to provide them with a selection of Blues kit.
Community Manager Dave Evans said: "I think to be a proper Community scheme you not only need to help with local issues but if people ask for help abroad and you can, you should.
"If by giving Wycombe kit away and enhancing what they do then we're 100% behind it. We've got a big outreach system through our contacts with the local schools in the area and we try to help people not just locally, but nationally."
