Wycombe Wanderers' Community department are all set for stumps after they organised the first cricket tournament as part of their new Multisports project.

The under 10s six-a-side Kwik Cricket tournament will take place on Wednesday 11th June at Winchmorehill Cricket club and 16 local school teams will take part in the new initiative.

The aim of the club's Multisports project is to give the opportunity to children from the local areas the chance to take part in different sporting activities other than football, as well as offering the kids another way to keep fit.

Each of the 16 teams are allowed up to eight members in their squad and everyone who takes part will be given two free tickets to a Wycombe Wanderers match next season and a medal, while the winners of the knockout competition will receive a trophy.

Parents of all of the participants are more than welcome to come along to the event and refreshments will be available to purchase on the day.

Following the event the Community department will also be running a selection of courses which will include a trip to Lords, the home of cricket. For more information call Matt Pearce on 01494 455734.
