MSC UPDATE
By Matt Cecil
Wycombe Wanderers MSC continued their fine start to the season with a 6-0 League Cup win over Chesham United this week.
The team is comprised of players who left the club after completing the Centre of Excellence system and were offered exit routes by the club into local colleges.
Coach Ben Williams told wwfc.com:
"A very convincing performance saw Wycombe progress to the last 16 of the League Cup. The game in truth was very one-sided with Chesham only entering our half 4 times in the first half twice without the ball, so it turned out to be a case of Wycombe being patient keeping the the ball and taking their chances when they arrived.
"Wycombe did this very well with the help of the outstanding Gareth Aldridge in the centre of the park. Wycombe's goals came through Shane Wyllie (2), Martin Dyer (2), Lyall Whitmarsh and substitute Ryan Caterer who scored with his first touch in the 65th minute."
Team: Irvine, Jagani, Gyamfi-Badu, Lewis, Amadu, Blake, Aldridge, Whitmarsh, Boateng, Dyer, Wyllie, Subs: Caterer, Prasol, Thomas, Colman, Marrotta.
Wycombe now travel to title contenders Cambridge United in the quarter finals.
