Wanderers 1-1 Southend United
Full-time here at Adams Park and it's finished in a 1-1 draw. Matt Harrold headed home Matty Phillips' corner on 41 minutes to put the Blues ahead but the striker's effort was cancelled out by Jean Francois-Christophe as the first half drew to a close. Overall a fair result.
Keep it wwfc.com for a match report and reaction to this evening's game.
91st min - The Shrimpers are piling forward and the Blues must stay strong if we're keep hold of this point.
90th min - The 4th official has indicated that there will be a minimum of three minutes added time.
88th min - Lee Barnard has just wasted possibly Southend's best chance to win this. Grant's touch fed it to Barnard and with Shearer off his line, the former Spurs man somehow fired over from 15 yards. Big escape.
87th min - Alex Revell is on for Freedman and the sub flashes a shot into Shearer's side-netting. There is still time for a winner.
86th min - Francis stands over a free-kick for Southend. Everyone is back for the Blues. Nothing to worry about though as his effort hits the wall and flies away.
84th min - The Blues fans are rising to the challenge and are backing the Wanderers all the way.
83rd min - Neat play from Beavon, Phillips and Pittman set up Zebs at the back post but his touch is too long and allows White to make the challenge.
81st min - Dubes has made it look so easy this evening. The Wanderers skipper has been exceptional at the back and has given little space to either Freedman or Barnard.
80th min - Montrose looks for Phillips down the left but his pass is slightly overhit and runs out for a Southend throw.
77th min - Pittman's pace draws a foul and a caution for John White as the striker bears down on the Southend goal. In full flight, JP is such a handful for defender's. From the kick, the ball was launched towards Luke Oliver but he was adjudged to have fouled his marker.
74th min - Southend are currently the team going forward with more purpose but the Blues look dangerous on the attack. Could Pittman, Phillips or Zebs could be the matchwinner? To be honest anyone will do!
71st min - That makes two bad decisions in as many minutes for the referee. Southend broke away, Alan McCormack switched it to Freedman who nipped inside Montrose and then looked to be tripped inside the 18-yard box.
68th min - The visitors should be down to 10-men. Pittman beat Heath for pace, his touch took him away from the defender, only for the former Leicester man to trip the Blues forward when through on goal. A definite red for me and for the Chairboys fans.
67th min - Matt Harrold is the man making way for Beavon.
65th min - Southend are currently on the attack but a Shearer punch denies Matt Heath a free header. Southend are enjoying their best possession of the second half.
64th min - Stuart Beavon is readied and waiting.
61st min - Phillips wriggles away from Francis but he slips at the crucial moment and the ball runs out for a goal-kick.
59th min - Stuart Green replaces Ian Westlake.
57th min - Southend should be ahead. The ball fell to Freedman in the 6-yard box but thankfully he could only head over the bar. A warning sign for the Blues.
56th min - Moussa let's fly from 25 yards but Shearer is able to stretch up and tip over for a corner. Moussa has been without doubt their best player. As I'm writing, Freedman heads
54th min - Referee Linington is having a quick word with Matt Heath and JP Pittman after a clash off the ball. JP was claiming a foul and in all fairness he should have had one.
52nd min - The game is finely poised here in Buckinghamshire. They key to the Blues' first three points of the season could be the use of JP's pace. He was been immense since coming on midway through the half.
49th min - Instead of being fed into 'the mixer' the ball was stroked to the edge of the area, Mousinho stepped over it to allow it run to Phillips but the winger could only fire straight down Southend 'keeper's throat from 15 yards. Well worked from the Blues.
48th min - The Blues have started well in the second 45 and have a corner on the far side. Can Harrold grab another?
46th min - Zebs is at it again at the beginning of the half. The winger ran at the Southend defence before feeding Jon-Paul Pittman, who then brought a decent save from Mildenhall.
Half-time here at Adams Park and it's 1-1. Matt Harrold headed the Blues ahead on 41 minutes from a Matty Phillips corner but Jean Francois-Christophe levelled matters with the last action of the half. The midfielder got up equally as well as Harrold to nod past Scott Shearer from 6 yards. Join me again in 15 minutes.
47th min - GOAL! From the resulting corner, Jean Francois-Christophe heads past Scott Shearer after leaping well from Simon Francis' cross.
46th min - Shearer denies Heath levelling the scores. Freedman knocked a nice through ball towards the centre-half but the Blues 'keeper launched off his line to smother his effort.
45th min - The 4th official has indicated that there will be a minimum of two minutes added.
43rd min - The Chairboys fans are in great voice now and we look like we could get another. We're bombing on.
41st min - GOAL! Matt Harrold heads the Blues in front against his old side and what a header it was! The striker rose well from 6 yards to guide Matty Phillips' corner past Mildenhall.
39th min - Like Duberry a minute ago, Oliver makes a stunning interception from to deny Freedman tap-in from 6-yard.
37th min - Pittman has brought a spark to this game. At the other end, Duberry throws himself of a Franck Moussa effort.
Strong play from Dubes.
35th min - The game has turned a bit scrappy in the last few minutes. Just as I write that, a stunning save from Mildenhall denies Matty Phillips. JP did great down the right to wriggle away from a couple of challenges and to find Phillips but unfortunately the winger's effort was tipped round the post. Best move of the match.
32nd min - Moussa is causing problems for the Blues down this left hand side and Mousinho needs to get a grip of him, quickly.
30th min - Southend notch up their first chance of the game, but unfortunately for them it fell to Matt Heath as he strided forward from centre-back. It never looked like troubling Shearer and it didn't.
28th min - We've got a really open game on our hands here at Adams Park and I'm enjoying every minute. All we need now is a Blues opener - I want to hear the new goal music!
26th min - Excellent hold up from Harrold but after finding Mousinho his forward pass was wayward and ends up in the stand.
25th min - The Blues have upped the ante in the past few minutes and are looking much stronger.
22nd min - None more so than Phillips' cross for Matt Harrold moments ago. The wing wizard swung in a beautiful cross and Harrold was inches away from poking home. Shock early sub for the Blues - Jon-Paul Pittman is on for Adam Smith. We've moved to 4-4-2.
19th min - Former Spurs man Lee Barnard is penalised for a foul on Zebs. Despite no clear chances, the game has had a nice feel to it and some of the passing on show has been a joy to watch.
17th min - Skipper Duberry clears away from danger, as the Shrimpers look to counter. Anthony Grant and Simon Francis did well down the right but Dubes was there to smash away in front of Dougie Freedman.
15th min - Good work again from Zebs to get away from Moussa and then fire a ball down the line to Matt Phillips. The ball would have been perfect not for the good neat defending from skipper Adam Barrett. Zebs is on fire tonight.
14th min - Woodman finds Montrose in space and this time the midfielder's effort was worth talking about. The former Wigan man surges onto the pass but his shoots just over the top.
11th min - Important clearance from Smith, as the ball was angled across the box towards Moussa. From the corner, Duberry was fouled and Shearer clears.
10th min - Immense work from Chris Zebroski wins the Wanderers a corner. Matty Phillips steps up...but it's claimed by Mildenhall.
9th min - Adam Smith is back up after a challenge from former Blue Franck Moussa. The Spurs loanee has impressed in his short spell with the Blues.
8th min - Lewis Montrose racks up the first chance for the Blues; his shot didn't test Steve Mildenhall, but instead, flies into the fans behind the goal. Better though.
7th min - Judging by the first minutes, the opening goal early goal could determine things here at Adams Park this evening.
6th min - Taylor's men have settled into the game now but are still using the wrong pass. The midfielders are looking long but it's need to go into Harrold's feet.
4th min - Free-kick for the Blues; Matt Phillips and Craig Woodman stand over it, Luke Oliver gets up well but referee Linington spots an infringement and hands the visitors a free-kick.
2nd min - Southend are enjoying the better possession and as things stand are the team on up.
1st min - We're off at Adams Park and the Blues fans are in good voice this evening. Early free-kick given away by Craig Woodman. The header came in from Jean Francois-Christophe and it was just wide of Scott Shearer's goal.
