FULL TIME - WYCOMBE 1-4 SOUTHEND UNITED

90 mins:
Two minutes of time added on.

84 mins: The good and the bad side of football all in one move from Derek Duncan. He juggles the ball over two Southend players before firing a volley just into the arms of the keeper, but aggravates a calf injury in the process. He has to limp off and the Blues are left with ten men.

82 mins: Double substitution for Southend, Paul Furlong and James Walker are replaced by Jamie Forshaw and Rhys Henry.

79 mins: The Chairboys are starting to dominate things but it could all be to late. They see three consecutive corners cleared away by the away side - just can't make this pressure tell.

75 mins: Almost an opening for the Blues. Derek Duncan takes a free kick quickly from deep, swinging in a lovely ball to the far post towards Matt Phillips. The young winger leaps well but can only head just wide.

68 mins: He may have scored two goals but Damien Scannell doesn't impress on this occasion, reacting to a fair free-kick award from the referee by blasting the ball away after the whistle had gone. That was blaitent disrespect to the official, not exactly in line with the latest initiative from the F.A. He's rightly booked.

65 mins:
Derek Duncan has impressed going forward from left back, he shows electric pace to bring the ball into the Shrimpers' half before finding Vieira, he slots it out wide to Phillips who whips in a dangerous looking cross that somehow avaids all the on-rushing bodies in the box.

62 mins: Sub for the Blues - Dan Fitchett replaces Calum Botham. Lets see if this injection of pace can help the Wanderers claw anything back.

58 mins: Substitution for the away side, Francis Laurent is replaced by Charles Ademeno. Youth team strikers Dan Fitchett and George Daly look set to come on.

54 mins: The Blues are looking for a way back. Youth team central midfielder Jordan Lumsden finds himself on the right wing, but does well to beat his man and win a corner. Nathan Ashton's whipped in set piece finds Leon Crooks, who shows good work before chipping the ball into Calum Botham. 'Tubes' sees his header cleared off the line, before Ashton himself cracks a volley just wide of the post. That's much better from the Chairboys.

52 mins: Could have been five, Wycombe fail to clear their lines from a free-kick and Lee Beevers volleys just wide of the post from 20 yards.

50 mins: GOAL! Another piece of fluid football from the Shrimpers makes it four. Stuart O'Keefe shows some tricky footwork before chipping the ball into Johnny Heard - who neetly lofts the ball over the stranded Jamie Young.

48 mins:
A frantic opening period, the Blues are again spraying the ball about with some neat one touch football - Magno Vieira is taken down in the box but no penalty awarded.

46 mins: The second half is back underway, Matt Phillips replacing David Pearce on the right hand side of midfield. That will be a heart-warming sight for Blues fans, as the youngster begins his come back from injury.

45 mins:
David Pearce hits a low strike from all of 30 yards, which Masters does well to save and hold. That's the last action of the half as referee Mr Farries brings the first period to a close.

43 mins: Two minutes added on for the Blues to drag themselves back into this before the break.

38 mins: GOAL! The Wanderers have a goal back, and I don't think many will begrudge us that. Jamie Young punts a long ball upfield, from which Calum Botham does well to flick it on and find his strike partner Magno Vieira. The South American forward does well to spin and crack home an unstoppable half volley - now that makes up for his earlier miss.

35 mins:
This has been one of those strange games, not much action but somehow the Blues find themselves three goals down. Perhaps the marking could have been tigher at times, though in fairness all three efforts have been top notch.

31 mins: GOAL!  Another great move from United. Full back Johnny Herd bombs down the left wing before finding James Walker on the edge of the box. He controls nicely before spinning and hitting a superb bouncing strike into the bottom right hand corner of the net.

28 mins:
Right, now I know you hear the whole "miss of the season" thing far too often these days but - that was the miss of the season. Nathan Ashton whips in a dangerous cross that falls at the feet of Magno Vieira no more than five yards out from goal. The Brazilian forward had time to do the samba before slotting home, though he somehow struck the ball straight into the arms of United keeper Clark Masters.

25 mins: Credit to the Wanderers, they are still trying to play good football. A slick passing move involving Pearce, Crooks, Shulton and Botham ends with Lee Beevers only just clearing his lines.

22 mins: GOAL! The away side double their lead with a brilliantly worked goal. Francis Laurent shows his trickery on the left flank before sending in a low ball that is controlled well by Scannell on the penalty spot, and the midfielder makes no mistake - slotting past a helpless Jamie Young to bag himself a brace.

20 mins:
Del Duncan is playing in an unfamiliar left back position and he sends over a wonderful ball from deep with his right foot. The Shrimpers can only clear it for a corner, which Duncan himself heads just over the bar. Great play.

18 mins: Peter Taylor is in the stand to watch his squad players and see if they can give him any selection headaches. Richard Dobson and Junior Lewis are the men barking instructions out from pitchside.

14 mins: The Wanderers have regained their composure after giving away that penalty early on, Paul Furlong sees his free-kick charged down and Craig Read hacks the ball away well. 'Ready' is a 17 year old youth teamer, and he's slotted in at centre back with Crooks moving over to right full-back.

12 mins: It certainly is a stop start game so far, and unfortunatly some of the Blues players are dropping like flies. Lewis Christon his felled and requires treatment from physio Shay Connolly.

9 mins: An early change for the Blues, Rob Rice limps off after picking up a knee injury, he's replaced by Craig Read.

8  mins: GOAL! Southend take the lead, Lewis Christon trips up his man and the referee has no choice but to award a penalty. Jamie Young does brilliantly to save the spot kick, but Damien Scannell is on hand to belt home the rebound. Frustrating stuff for the Blues and especially for Youngy.

3 mins: It's nice to see a mix of youth and experience out here for the Blues tonight, promising midfielder David Pearce lines up alongside the likes of Magno Vieira and Leon Crooks.

1 mins: A solid start form the Blues as they push forward down the right hand side, Lewis Christon sees a volley fly just over the bar.
