TOP DOGS RAISE STACKS FOR CHARITY

Two of the Wanderers' top dogs have raised in excess of £3,000 pound for the club's Charity of the Season.

Chairman Ivor Beeks and Club Secretary Keith Allen began their eight-week slim in aid of Scannappeal on Monday 12th January and endured a gruelling two months before the final weigh-in took place on Monday 9th March.

And the pair are delighted with their efforts, as are their wives, after the duo shed nearly four stone between them.

Both Ivor and Keith set up Justgiving.com website pages ahead of the slim and the pair have been overwhelmed with the response they've received.

Keith told wwfc.com: "We're both extremely grateful for all your support. Every time I saw a cream cake I saw a face of someone who sponsored me and I resisted temptation!"

It's not too late to sponsor the pair and in turn support Scannappeal, the Buckinghamshire charity whose aim is to raise funds to purchase cancer-treating equipment in local hospitals.

And there's even more good news for Scannappeal after their latest bucket collection at Adams Park on Saturday 7th March raised just under £1,000.
