MORE OPEN DAYS TO COME
Wanderers are set to roll out the red carpet for local businesses following the success of their second "open day", launched by Wasps and England rugby legend Lawrence Dallaglio.
The Blues recently opened their doors to local companies who have shown interest in using the Adams Park facilities. Dallaglio gave them a tour of the stadium shortly after hearing news of his recall to the England squad for this year's rugby World Cup finals.
Said Wanderers' Food and Beverage Manager John Farrington: "Our guests were thrilled to meet a big star like Dallaglio and when he told them about being selected for the World Cup, everyone in the room stood up and applauded. It got the whole event off to a great start."
Farrington went on: "The idea of the 'open day' was to showcase the superb facilities we have here at Adams Park. It's a perfect venue for conferences, meetings, dinners and parties of any size. People were amazed that a football stadium could have the kind of facilities that you would normally find in a five star hotel."
The day proved to be a huge success and drew glowing tributes from businessmen like Vince Golder, who told wwfc.com: "I really enjoyed the event and I know that the other guests did as well. Everything about the day was superb - the organisation, welcoming reception, hospitality, tour of the stadium and, of course, the venue itself.
"I will recommend Wycombe Wanderers to as many people as I can and I will certainly consider using your facilities again in the future."
Wanderers' commercial chief Karen Murphy told us: "Vince is one of many guests at the 'open day' who wrote to tell us how much they'd enjoyed themselves and how impressed they'd been by the facilities at Adams Park. Previously, they'd just seen us as a football ground at the end of an industrial estate, but having witnessed the facilities at first hand, they were all suitably impressed."
The Blues will hold another 'open day' on Friday 10th August, and companies interested in attending should contact Stacey Hodgson by emailing here or phoning 01494 455730.
